Hi, I'm Stacey (trail name Scooch). I live in Connecticut and commute to work in New York City, am a mom to four busy kids, and wife to a very non-outdoorsy man. I’ve been a public school administrator and school counselor for many years, and love sharing the wilderness with anyone who wants to get outside.
I found the Trail Dames years ago, but haven’t lived close enough to a chapter to hike regularly with a group. One thing I adore about the Trail Dames is that it's a place for women of all sizes and levels of hiking experience. Never wore a backpack? Come with us! Appalachian Trail thru-hiker? Come with us! Body shape and size is no issue, and neither is speed. We will stop to smell every single flower if we feel like it!
There are so many beautiful places to see in our corner of the world, so let’s explore them together. I plan to schedule a variety of hikes in the Westchester, Fairfield County, and nearby New Jersey areas....including some trails in the big city. I look forward to hiking with the Tri-State Trail Dames!
